This kit will completely transform your YZ250! Whether you’re trail riding, racing offroad or racing MX this package will make your bike more powerful and way smoother than stock. Overall it will pull harder and be nicer to ride in almost any situation.
This TSP Power kit includes a TSP Billet Head in your choice of compression ratio (see specs below) plus a hand-made Scalvini expansion chamber. We also offer some suggested jetting specs to get the most from the setup.
We have been selling heads for the YZ250 for years now and know exactly what these bikes in order to maximise performance and reliability. The TSP Billet Head is the key element to smoothing out the power delivery plus making the engine much more detonation resistant and therefore much more reliable. The Scalvini pipe offers a better spread of power than any other pipe on the market, including the GYTR pipe. Together they make an incredible difference to the bike without the need for internal engine mods and without risking reliability. Be aware that some aftermarket YZ250 pipes create a dip in the midrange power due to the fact that the powervalve is not adjustable… our package gives a strong, smooth power delivery with no dip or bog. This means a bike that’s smoother to ride and faster from corner to corner.
If your YZ250 doesn’t already have one then you should also consider fitting a V Force reed cage (sold separately, see listing here). These add further mid range and peak power and are a valuable part of a well setup YZ250.
The head comes in the following combustion chamber options:
LOW COMPRESSION: This Low comp design is the same comp ratio as the stock 250X model head but with a much better design. It gives much better bottom/mid and much better part throttle response. It is the design we normally suggest for the X model at sea level.
MEDIUM COMPRESSION: This Med design is the same as we have been selling for the standard MX model for years. It is actually lower compression than stock but gives much better throttle response and smoother, crisper power delivery. It is suited the the standard YZ250 model at sea level and for high level MX where the engine is revved hard.
HIGH COMPRESSION: This new design is roughly the same compression ratio as the stock YZ250 head but with a much better design. It gives much more bottom/mid power than stock, plus higher peak power. It doesn’t rev out as far as the Medium design. It is best suited to trail-riding, off-road racing and MX where the rider wants max bottom/mid.
